• zoe is 24 years old and moved to san fransisco when she was 10. she was raised by her grandparents because her father was put in jail for business fraud when she was a tot, and her mom got into drugs and alcohol and was deemed unfit for parenthood.
• when she lived in hawaii she frequently cut school and spent most of her time at a marine animal hospital with her uncle. it broke her heart to leave him and the animals more than it did to leave her own mother.
• zoe is half hawaiian, a quarter greek, and a quarter black.
• she works part time at the aquarium of the bay as an educator.
• she fancies herself a designer as well, having recently designed and created a line of t-shirts for the gift shops that feature slogans such as "don't be mean, get green."
• she is a doctoral student studying marine biology.
• she spends her breaks talking to the jellyfish. she is kind of obsessed.
• she has not eaten meat since she was 12 years old. she doesn't mind when other people do, though the smell of bacon turns her stomach a little bit..
• she is most comfortable wearing little to no clothing, but she understands the need for clothes in the real world. she does prefer bikinis, dresses/skirts, and flip flops though.
• zoe plans on writing a memoir some day, so she keeps very detailed journals. and blogs. and takes tons of photographs. she is obsessed with documentation.
• she frequently visits her uncle, her mom, and her old friends in hawaii. she makes sure she goes down there at least twice a year and she spends a couple weeks each time.
• zoe runs two miles most every day, and always outside. she was attacked once, but got away before anything unspeakable happened.
• zoe has a few small, well hidden tattoos all of which mean something to her. her next is to get a breast cancer ribbon for her grandmother. she isn't sure where she is gonna put it yet though. hip, foot, finger.
• likes: post it notes, chocolate cake, baking, themed parties, old people, young people, middle aged people, animals of all shapes and sizes, running, beach days, playing hookey, sports events, recycling, online shopping, being creative, museums, camping, the travel channel & food network, children, speaking in gibberish and other made up languages/codes, scavenger hunts.
• dislikes: bugs, yoga, judgemental people, animal cruelty, people who don't recycle, land fills, jay leno, disposable tupperware, forgetting things.

• her little sister, melonhead they have had their ups and downs but are super close and tell each other everything...sometimes in a secret language that only they understand.
• roomie and best lady friend: bra. it has only been two years since their fateful meeting, but things have progressed quickly and zoe has no idea what she would do without her other half!
• the number one of her heart: HARVEY! a five year old bull dog that she and penny adopted together.
• friend from childhood years in hawaii: expensive, they recently reunited and it was amazing. they are planning an epic return to the islands.
• they met when zoe first moved in with ~bra and ever since she, vote, and smokinggun have been hitting it of great.
• something with tollfree.
• he is her roomie's big bro and therefore was granted an automatic place in her heart: polyphonic is kind of shy and awkward so zoe has made it her personal goal to loosen him up and get him to have a good time when they're together.
• met recently and are still getting to know eachother:goro.
• they met through ~bra but after a couple semi-drunken heart to hearts they bonded and are now close friends: sosweet.
